I came up with this concept while I was hiking some of the Larapinta Trail in 2021 which also lined up with my first week doing the Ghost Shrimp Illustration Workshop. It was my first attempt to explore my own ‘personal mythology’ and I had spent a week walking in nature and having a great time looking at natural rocks and textures and decided that the outdoors are a big part of my own history, being from a New Zealand family.
